Job Description General Summary: Compensation: Hourly M-F Payroll Classification: Part-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs Purchasing of Hardware and Software for all departments. Responsible for creating Purchase orders and working closely with vendors, sales, customer service, and the accounting department. Responsible for the ordering, tracking, receiving, shipping, and processing of returns for all equipment and software. Maintains inventory. Working knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures. Ability to gather and research pricing of items from multiple vendors for comparison and best profit margin Job Duties: • Maintains organization of the purchasing department by keeping accurate records. • Completes job tasks as assigned by Customer Service Manager • Responsible for tracking of all equipment and software that enters or leaves the building, including keeping logs • Protects organization's value by keeping all information confidential. • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by creating PO’s and providing confirmation of items received • Enters data into Scorpion, runs reports assigned on time, and keeps track of status of Purchase Orders. • Works closely with Customer Service to assist in faster and higher quality service scheduling and response time to end user. • Familiar with UPS online shipping, tracking, pickup and delivery protocols • Have reliable transportation and a valid State of Florida Driver’s License • A clean 7 year criminal background check is a requirement of this position Additional Qualifications: • Strong communication and relationship building skills • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated • Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through e-mail • Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting (on site or off), and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, concentration to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and/ or over the telephone. Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
